| La Garde Freinet, a forest and tourist village, situated right in the heart of the "Massif des Maures", in an exceptional area in the heart of a forest of cork oak and of chestnust trees, it opens on the Gulf of St Tropez. 
The village strengthened by XI th century, the sentinel of les Maures, preserves its original character with its stone houses and the central square of the village, nowadays, lined with restaurants. The village also counts numerous picturesque hamlets such as la Mourre, la Cour, le Val d' Aubert...
Since the "old" Farde Freinet, we can see the hills of Miremer, the plain St Clément, the valley of Argens, gulf of Saint Tropez, a panoramic view on the sea and the Alps. 
La Garde Freinet is also famous for itd sweet chestnuts and her cream of chestnut.
